So, the following information may be pretty random, but it may also be just what you need to get through your day! DID YOU KNOW...


1. The taste and smell of gum you chewed while studying will help your brain to remember the info you studied if you chew the same gum during your test!

2. Grape juice can help reduce the risk of migraines.

3. If your jewelry is turning your finger green paint the inner ring with clear fingernail polish!

4. Tired of your ice cream melting out of the bottom of your cone? Stick a marshmallow in the bottom of the cone before you scoop in the ice cream!

5. Make a drip free freezer pack but soaking a sponge, placing it in a zip lock bag and freezing it!

6. Getting rid of that annoying cereal dust at the bottom of the bag can be done by simply pouring the cereal in a strainer before pouring it into your bowl!

7. Avoid wasting a bar of soap by sticking the remaining sliver to the new bar!

8. Using a smaller plate can trick your brain into thinking you ate more than you did, resulting in less overeating!

9. Forget your phone charger on vacation? Look at the TV in your hotel room, most televisions have a USB on the back!

10. Use the clips from plastic hangers as chip clips!

1. SOME CATS ARE ALLERGIC TO HUMANS
Okay so, it's uncommon but it happens!

2. GREEN EGGS AND HAM STARTED AS A BET
The Dr. Seuss favorite grew out of a bet with his editor that he could not write a book using fewer than 50 words! His editor was out $50. ;)

3. THE MAJORITY OF YOUR BRAIN IS FAT
About 60 percent of the human brain is made up of fat!


4. HIGH HEELS WERE ORIGINALLY WORN BY MEN
In the 10th century, men in Europe adopted the fashion choice of heels to make it easier to ride their horses.

5. QUEEN ELIZABETH IS A TRAINED MECHANIC
When she was just 16, she joined the British employment agency where she learned the basics of truck repair.

6. IT TAKES EXACTLY 364 LICKS TO GET TO THE CENTER OF A TOOTSIE POP

9. "OMG" USAGE CAN BE TRACED BACK TO 1917
Perhaps the earliest use of OMG appears in a letter to Winston Churchill. In the year 1917, retired Admiral of the British Navy John Arbuthnot Fisher wrote to Churchill about rumors he had heard about titles that would soon be bestowed. He wrote, "I hear that a new order of Knighthood is on the tapis. O.M.G (Oh my God!)- Shower to the admorality!"

In the silent film version on The Wizard of Oz in 1910, Dorothy did not have a dog but a faithful cow!

11. HORSES SLEEP IN 15 MINUTE BURSTS
For such a large animal, they do not require that much sleep. They sleep for a total of  around 3 hours a day, doing so in 15 minutes bursts!

12. THE BLOB OF TOOTHPASTE OF YOUR BRUSH HAS A NAME
So, this may fall under the category of "Why Do I Need To Know This?" BUT that blob of toothpaste of your toothbrush is called a nurdle. Eh, the more ya know!

13. ORANGES WERE FIRST PLANTED IN 1513
In what is now Florida, Spanish explorer Juan Ponce De Leon planted the first orange tree in 1513.


14. DANDELION HAS A DIRTY MEANING
You may want to stray away from the dandelion wine after realizing that in French dandelion means to "wet the bed". This names comes from the fact that dandelions have diuretic properties.

15. HOT WATER FREEZES FASTER THAN COLD WATER
A few different explanations have been suggested, including one that suggests that warm containers conduct heat efficiently, and another than warm water simply evaporates faster.
